About the Author
Nelda Bedford Gaydou is bilingual and bicultural. Born of U.S. missionary parents in Rosario, Argentina, she learned English and Spanish at the same time. She grew up in Argentina and went to college in the U.S. Her adult life was divided between the two countries until she settled down definitively in the mountains of Córdoba Province, making frequent visits to the U.S. She and her husband have three children, four grandchildren and three Yellow Labs.

An avid reader, her most frequently read book is the Bible. Her favorite writers include J.R.R. Tolkien, Dorothy Sayers and Mary Stewart.

Nelda Bedford de Gaydou se crio bilingüe y bicultural. Nació en Rosario, Argentina de padres misioneros estadounidenses y aprendió a hablar en castellano e inglés al mismo tiempo. Pasó su niñez y adolescencia en la Argentina e hizo sus estudios universitarios en los Estados Unidos. Repartió su vida adulta entre los dos países hasta radicarse definitivamente en las Sierras de Córdoba. Junto con su esposo, tiene tres hijos, cuatro nietos y tres perros labradores.

La lectura es su pasatiempo favorito. El libro que lee más frecuentemente es la Biblia. El escritor que más admira en lengua española es Jorge Luis Borges.
